1. Auxiliary Cutting Screens
These innovative screens are applied for increased productivity and are available in different configurations. Republic has the patented “grooved screen” as well as two New screens. The “triple cut” screen increases productivity for “Hawksbill” cutters when used with small hole diameter screens. The “second cut” screen improves effectiveness when using the Zoidal cutters.
2. New Rotor Seal
This new innovation, a self cleaning seal functions at the outer diameter of rotor, protecting the shaft and bearings from contamination.
3. Zoidal AntiWrap Cutting System
Republic offers the choice of either the Zoidal XL, the standard Zoidal Cutter both “Non Wrapping” beaver tooth cutter system, or the traditional “Hawksbill” cutter. However, the (patent pending) Zoidal System is superior for film and fiber production.
4. New — No Belt/No Sheaves — Controlled Torque Drive Module
The removable power module is a beltless right angle direct drive Falk gear box, with a over-torque limiting clutch which protects the gearbox. The specified horsepower, electric motor is based on output, cutter type, and rotor diameter. This assembly can be removed vertically from the machine as a single module.
5. Counter Knife
Replacement, rotation, and adjustment of counter knives with the New moveable anvil system are made EZ Service with the “Split-A-Part” machine. This process generally takes less than 20 Minutes for adjustment and less than 40 minutes for replacement or rotation. The rotor and anvil can be water cooled for low melt materials.
6. Maintenance/Product Change Over/Tramp Metal Removal
The “Split-A-Part” Machine feature improves your bottomline by greatly reducing maintenance downtime—for cutter maintenance, tramp metal removal, “clean out” for product change over. It eliminates the necessity of climbing into the hopper to perform maintenance while kneeling for hours at a time.
7. EZ Maintenance Ram Assembly
Our New hydraulic powered ram is easily maintained by hyper-extending while the machine is Split-A-Part, allowing easy access to remove the hydraulic cylinder pins from outside the machine. This allows the wipers to pop-out in your hands without any tools. Easy access is provided with removable cover plates to allow hydraulic cylinder replacement and ram.
8. New Removable Clean out Tray
IF the machine needs splitting apart for clean out or quick maintenance, the heavy-duty, removable tray will catch all lose material. The operator can easily pull the tray out from under the machine gaining access to the rotor, knives, wipers or cutters. The tray is mounted on rollers.
