Power Train
The power/drive system for these machines is an electric motor which varies in size and rating with the machine size from a 50 HP up to 250 HP. Every machine is equipped with speed reducers and computer programmed control with torque management devises. All motors have either a fluid coupling or electrical soft start to reduce current inrush during startup. The fluid coupling also enables starting under a full load. |

No Belt/No Sheaves—Controlled Torque Drive Module
The removable power module is a beltless right angle direct drive Falk gear box, with an over-torque limiting clutch which protects the gearbox. The specified horsepower, electric motor is based on output, cutter type, and rotor diameter. This assembly can be removed vertically from the machine as a single module.
The drive train consists of a FALK gearbox designed with Class 3 rating for system reliability. Republic again set the trend in the industry with this feature. FALK provides a full 3-year warranty for their product. |
Ram System
The ‘Ram Feed System’ is hydraulically activated and programmed to respond to resistance, pressure or torque, which controls the amount of material being fed into the cutting area. Located in the floor of the material feed section, the push plate moves front and back allowing the material in the hopper to quickly fall to the bottom where the shredding process occurs. |

Control Systems
The Control System is based on Allen Bradley’s Micrologix 1500 system and is custom designed with copyrighted software. The standard control panel provides normal overload protection. Also, the system controls the hydraulically powered ram direction, speed and force, and monitors the feed system to relieve heat problems, too. |

Universal Machines
These machines are very universal in nature. With the front power frame’s heavy duty structural design, heavy-duty gear box and motor mounted into an adjustable frame, the EZ Service machines are very versatile for other alternative material feed sections for different requirements and parameters. Both frames can be interchanged with either smaller or larger power heads, or smaller or larger material feed frames. Cutter Systems
Discover the secret of cutting with our Trapezoidal shape Cutters. The patent pending Zoidal Cutter™ allows no wrapping, no self-feeding, and no Meltdowns. Coupled with the counterknife system, this ‘thru hardened’, tool steel cutter has proven 4 times more efficient and has 3 times the life.
In addition, the Zoidal System is superior for film and fiber production. Because of the Zoidal AntiWrap Cutter and Counter Knifes geometry and tight tolerance configuration, no type film can wrap around the rotor increasing heat, slowing or stopping production.
For less demanding products, models can be manufactured with the durable and common 40 mm Hawksbill Cutter. |
